OAKtober tree and shrub sale at Ryerson Woods Oct. 6
The OAKtober native tree and shrub sale and family celebration will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, at the Ryerson Woods Welcome Center in Riverwoods. Besides the sale, the event includes nature-themed activities and guided tours of the autumnal woodland from 1 to 4 p.m. Native flower, grasses and tree planting workshops are offered throughout the day, starting at 9 a.m. Registration is not required but adult supervision is. Pets are not allowed at Ryerson Woods, 21950 North Riverwoods Road. Call (847) 968-3320.
