Zoning board vacancy in Vernon Hills

Vernon Hills is looking for a person to fill a vacancy on the village's zoning board of appeals. The board holds public hearings and makes recommendations to the village board on decisions and determinations made by staff in the interpretation and enforcement of village zoning, development and sign ordinances. It consists of seven members appointed by the village president and confirmed by the village board. The zoning board of appeals is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. the third Thursday of every month if petitions of variances are pending and generally meets five to seven times annually.
