Two-vehicle crash in Streamwood injures 1

A two-vehicle crash in Streamwood left one driver with serious injuries, resulting in a helicopter trip to the hospital, according to Streamwood Fire Chief Chris Clark.

The crash, at Route 59 and Irving Park Road at 9:16 p.m. left the injured driver trapped within a vehicle as Streamwood firefighters worked for over 55 minutes to extricate them from their car.

A helicopter flew the victim to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove for further treatment. The extent of the victim's injuries was unknown.
