Wauconda group to talk marijuana sales
The Wauconda village board's license and administration committee will meet Monday to discuss whether officials should allow marijuana dispensaries to operate in town. The session is set for 5:30 p.m. at village hall, 101 N. Main St. Wauconda's economic development committee held a similar meeting last week, and members informally favored allowing such businesses to operate. More meetings are planned. Recreation use of marijuana will be legal in Illinois starting Jan. 1, as will the regulated sale of relatively small amounts of the drug.
