Crystal Lake man charged again with sex crimes against minors

A Crystal Lake man was arrested a second time Friday and charged with several felonies relating to sexual contact with minors, police said.

Joshua G. Dancy, 23, was originally arrested and charged May 29 after Crystal Lake police had investigated complaints filed with Marengo police by two minor females alleging he had engaged in solicitation and sexual intercourse with them, according to a news release from the Crystal Lake Police Department.

Police found that Dancy had solicited the minors over social media and came into contact with them through Snapchat and other sites around November 2018. He gained their trust and was able to get several nude photos of them, police said. He was charged with four counts of felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse but was later released.

On Friday, he was arrested on several warrants at a home in McHenry, police said, and was charged for one count of felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse, one count of felony indecent solicitation of a child and four counts of felony child pornography after police determined he had contacted a third victim.

Dancy is being held at the McHenry County jail, police said. His bond was set at $500,000 and he will appear Tuesday in court.

Police said they're still investigating as additional victims are being identified.
