Inaugural Woodridge Restaurant Week launching in August
To highlight Woodridge as a dining destination and to celebrate its 60th anniversary, the village and Chamber630 are collaborating for the inaugural Seven Bridges Restaurant Week.
From Aug. 8 to 16, participating restaurants will host unique events, offer price specials and feature exclusive fare.
The Seven Bridges area is a commercial and residential development with roughly 465,000 square feet of office, retail, recreation and restaurant space. The event encourages residents and visitors to discover new restaurants, dishes and specials during the weeklong celebration.
"This event is a great reason for people to go out with friends and family to experience the wide variety of incredible restaurants we have in Woodridge," Mayor Gina Cunningham said.
"2019 is an exciting milestone year for Woodridge, marking our 60 years of incorporation as a village. Trying out new restaurants and sampling part of the Woodridge culinary scene is a wonderful way to celebrate Woodridge during this anniversary year."
Seven Bridges Restaurant Week will feature a "Passport to Dining Guide" that contains all of the limited-time deals.
The passport also includes a summary of the special events during the week.
For example, Buffalo Wild Wings is hosting Wing Wednesday Aug. 14. If an attendee can eat five of Buffalo Wild Wings' spiciest wings within three minutes, that person can eat for free.
In addition, Ike & Oak Brewing is offering brewery tours to teach guests about the beer-making process.

To provide guests a chance to sample items from all Seven Bridges Restaurant week participants, Chamber630 and the village will present Sample Seven Bridges. This sampling experience is a ticketed event at the Seven Bridges Golf Club at 1 Mulligan Drive.
From 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 8, participating restaurants will be in attendance offering samples of their best dishes. There will be prize drawings throughout the event and a DJ providing music.
