Learn about Cole Porter at Vernon Hills library program

A presentation on music icon Cole Porter will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, at Aspen Drive Library, 701 Aspen Drive, Vernon Hills.

Porter died 55 years ago, but his music still plays on Broadway. An icon of European sophistication and American high society, Porter was actually born in Peru, Indiana. His brilliant composing and hilarious, racy and mischievous lyrics stand the test of time.

Participants will learn about his unique life story and amazing body of work in next week's multimedia presentation. Registration is available at (847) 362-2330, webres.cooklib.org, or at the library.
