Glendale Heights couple welcomes quadruplets
A Glendale Heights family grew by four Wednesday as Marzena and Grzegorz Nawracaj welcomed quadruplets at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
The couple are now the proud parents of - in birth order - Hubert, Marcel, Lena and Sara, who are in the hospital's neonatal intensive care unit.
They will join Maximilian, who turns 3 on Sunday, when they arrive home.
"We are over the moon and already in love with Hubert, Marcel, Lena and Sara," Marzena Nawracaj said in a statement released by the hospital. "I'm comforted to know that we are all in good hands here at Advocate until we are ready to go home. Our family is ready for this next great adventure together."
Multiple births of triplets or more are very rare, the hospital said in a news release. About 102 of every 100,000 live births include triplets or more, according to the latest figures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
