Fun Run in Color comes to Wheaton

The Wheaton Park District Fun Run in Color Saturday drew a crowd of people dressed in white who took on other hues during the course of the race.

Park district personnel asked people to show up in bright white shirts, shorts and shoes, then showered them along the route with vibrant color made from safe, food-grade, biodegradable cornstarch.

With wave starts, four color stations, and a final color toss at the after-party, runners ended in a brilliant color palette of warm and cool hues. The colors are nontoxic and easily come off in the wash.

The untimed run/walk was for all ages and abilities. The Rotary Club of Wheaton AM was the co-sponsor. All participants received a finisher's medal.
