The Lake-to-Prairie Chapter of Wild Ones is hosting a walk in Ryerson Woods in Riverwoods from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 27. Ryerson Woods has one of the best examples of a northern flatwoods habitat, a rare northern Illinois landscape. It also includes some of Illinois' most pristine woodlands and several state threatened and endangered species. Ryerson Woods is at 21950 N. Riverwoods Road, south of Route 22 and north of Deerfield Road. There is no fee. Families are welcome. RSVP to Pam at florawings@icloud.com. Wild Ones is a national not-for-profit organization that promotes the use of native plants in landscapes.
