Bolingbrook man gets 19 years for child pornography, sex trafficking
Ronald Gobenciong, 46, of Bolingbrook was sentenced Thursday to 19 years in federal prison man in a child pornography and sex trafficking case, the Cook County sheriff's office announced Saturday in a news release.
In April 2017, Gobenciong was arrested after sheriff's Child Exploitation Unit investigators learned that Gobenciong, posing as different people online, enticed a 17-year-old to send pornographic images of himself to Gobenciong and to have sex with him.
According to the news release, when the teen wanted to end the sexual contact, Gobenciong threatened to send the teen's images to his father. Two additional victims were also identified during the course of the investigation.
Last year, Gobenciong pleaded guilty in federal court to production of child pornography and to sex trafficking of a minor.
