26-year-old poised to join Wauconda 118 board; incumbent trailing

Vincent Torossy, a 26-year-old from Wauconda, will take a seat on the Wauconda Unit District 118 board in a race for three seats that edged out an incumbent.

Torossy had 893 votes, second only to incumbent Kathy Bianco, 49, of Wauconda, who had 941 votes. Robert Collins, 48, of Volo had 719 votes in a narrow margin over incumbent board president Jonathan Feryance with 694.

Results are unofficial, and provisional ballots and late-arriving mail-in ballots are not included.
