Learn about organic gardening at Mundelein event

The Mundelein Park and Recreation District will be hosting organic gardening classes Wednesdays for four weeks beginning March 6 at the Regent Center, 1200 Regent Drive, Mundelein. Participants 16 and over will learn the fundamentals of organic gardening, including soil preparation and nutrients; the difference in transplants and seed types; companion plants; root space; and which nutrients are preferred by which plant. This is the first set of classes within a 3-part series that extends through the growing season including midseason maintenance to harvest and prepping for next year.
