Report: Lake in the Hills lockdown ends with arrest

A Lake in the Hills resident was taken into custody Friday evening following a neighborhood lockdown that lasted nearly six hours and featured the presence of an armed SWAT team, according to the Northwest Herald. No one was reported injured.

Criminal charges were not made public as of Saturday afternoon, and police declined to comment on the ongoing investigation.

Lake in the Hills police were initially dispatched at 4:07 p.m. to the 100 block of Harvest Gate. Residents were later warned to avoid the area due to police activity. Polaris Drive was blocked off between Harvest Gate and Randall Road until about 10:30 p.m., according to the Northwest Herald.
