Rolling Meadows city manager gets three-year contract extension

Rolling Meadows City Manager Barry Krumstok has received a three-year contract extension in his role as the head of day-to-day city operations.

The city council this week unanimously approved a new employment agreement with Krumstok, who was first appointed acting city manager in 2010 and officially hired as manager in 2011. His new contract goes into effect Jan. 1, in which he is due to receive an annual base salary of $175,100.

Following annual performance reviews with the council in September, Krumstok is eligible for raises. He received a 3 percent raise and one-time bonus of $2,500 last February, putting his base salary at $169,962.

His new contract runs through March 2022.
