Rolling Meadows city manager gets 3 percent raise

Rolling Meadows City Manager Barry Krumstok will get a 3 percent merit pay raise, as determined by the city council.

Krumstok, first appointed acting city manager in 2010, will be paid $162,585 retroactive to Jan. 1 - an amount approved on a 5-1 vote of the council Tuesday. Alderman Mike Cannon was the lone "no" vote.

Krumstok, who oversees day-to-day operations of the city, is eligible for annual raises following a closed session performance evaluation with the council. He is in the second year of a 3-year contract with the city. It's his third contract since he was officially hired as manager in March 2011.
