George H.W. Bush, the nation's 41st president, received a warm welcome during his many visits over the years to the then heavily Republican suburbs.

Bush visited the area before, during and after his presidency. Suburban Republicans served key roles in his administration, and he visited local businesses and held campaign rallies here.
