Pappas holds narrow lead over incumbent Winger for Illinois House
Democrat Diane Pappas holds a razor slim lead over incumbent Republican Christine Winger of Wood Dale in their race for the Illinois House in the 45th District.
With 107 of 111 precincts reporting in the unofficial tally, Pappas leads Winger 19,049 to 18,858.
Pappas, an attorney from Itasca, has said her priorities will be to pass balanced budgets, fund schools, protect affordable health care for women and keep communities safe.
The 45th District includes all or parts of Addison, Bartlett, Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, Hanover Park, Itasca, Medinah, Roselle, Wayne, West Chicago and Wood Dale.
