No injuries as Warrenville residence hit by gunfire
No injuries were reported when a Warrenville residence was damaged by apparent gunfire late Thursday, authorities said Friday.
Police said they responded at 10:12 p.m. to a report of shots fired on the 2S700 block of Winchester Circle West and arrived to find damage to one quad-plex unit that was consistent with gunfire. The residence was occupied at the time of the shooting but no one was hit.
Police said they consider the case an "isolated incident" and there is no general threat to the public.
The investigation is continuing.
