Schaumburg to host fire, police open house Oct. 6

The village of Schaumburg is inviting the public to attend its annual Public Safety Open House Saturday, Oct. 6, featuring interactive demonstrations and exhibits from the Schaumburg fire and police departments.

The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fire Station 51, 950 W. Schaumburg Road and the Police Station, 1000 W. Schaumburg Road.

The free, family-friendly event will be held rain or shine.

Attendees are asked to "Stuff-A-Truck" by bringing nonperishable items that will be donated to the Schaumburg Township Food Pantry. Those who donate will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a fire department or police department safety basket.
