Report: Algonquin woman charged with drug induced homicide of Cary man

An Algonquin woman is facing up to 30 years in prison after being charged with supplying a fatal dose of heroin and fentanyl to a Cary man in May, WBBM Newsradio is reporting.

Paige S. Hoover, 23, is accused of three felony counts of drug-induced homicide, according to a statement from Cary police to WBBM.

If found guilty of any of the felony counts at trial, she could be sentenced to a maximum of 30 years behind bars.

The report says the charges come four months after 45-year-old Peter A. Fonte died inside his home on May 18.

Authorities determined he overdosed on heroin and fentanyl, WBBM is reporting.

Hoover remains held at McHenry County Jail, police said.
