Taste of Roselle ready for three-day run

Visitors to this weekend's Taste of Roselle will have plenty of chances to sample yummy treats along Main Street between Roselle Road and Park Street.

But the fest that opens Friday evening and runs through Sunday will feature a great deal more: from crafts and carnival rides to music and, new this year, members of American Legion Post 1084 marching down Main Street as part of opening ceremonies at 6 p.m. Friday followed by the Lake Park High School band playing the national anthem.

Organizers say proceeds from the festival are donated to community projects. The Taste of Roselle Commission has donated more than $325,000 since 1982.

Fest hours are 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, noon to 11 p.m. Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday. For details, visit www.roselle.il.us/228/Taste-of-Roselle.
