Schaumburg library hosts sensory programs for kids

The Schaumburg Township District Library invites children 6 years old and younger to participate in free, fun, sensory programs geared toward those with autism spectrum disorders, sensory processing issues or who are differently-abled during August and September.

"Sensory Storytime" for ages 3 to 6 years will take place from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, in the library's Storytime Room at 130 S. Roselle Road in Schaumburg. "Sensory Play Group" for children ages newborn to six years is slated from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. that same day in the Craft Room. "Sensory Puppet Show" for children ages 3 to 6 years will run from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, in the Storytime Room.
