Summer Dance Concerts coming to Schaumburg

The Schaumburg Park District will hold Summer Dance Concerts from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. the first Friday of July and August in the Town Square gazebo at the corner of Schaumburg and Roselle roads.

The free concerts include an introductory one-hour dance lesson by Arthur Murray instructors from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., followed by live music and dancing from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Participants can salsa and bachata with Fiesta on July 6, and tango and foxtrot to the music of the Eddie Harrison Band on Aug. 3.

"It's such a magical evening," said Cultural Arts Supervisor Beth Waller. "Nobody leaves without a smile on their face. It's an event where friends meet, couples celebrate anniversaries and families celebrate special occasions."
