20-year-old man killed in Streamwood motorcycle crash

A 20-year-old Streamwood man was killed after a motorcycle he was driving struck a tree, authorities said.

Vincent Korpalski of Streamwood was driving a Kawasaki motorcycle east in the 100 block of Schaumburg Road near Bartlett Road when the motorcycle left the road and struck a tree, according to police.

Police said Korpalski was transported to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital with severe injuries. Korpalski later succumbed to those injuries and died at about 5:35 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Police said the crash is still under investigation and that no one else was injured in the accident.
