Eckhoff, Zaruba, FitzGerald Ozog and Afzal win nods in DuPage Dist. 4

Incumbent Grant Eckhoff and Wheaton attorney Chris Zaruba lead a six-candidate field seeking the Republican nomination for two District 4 seats on the county board.

With 100 percent of precincts reporting, unofficial totals show Eckhoff leading with 27 percent of the vote total, followed by Zaruba with 23 percent.

Newcomers Elizabeth Tatro, Paula McGowen, Craig Chinchilla and Ron Almiron round out the pack.

Mary FitzGerald Ozog of Glen Ellyn leads a three-way race for two Democratic nominations with 46 percent of the vote. Hadiya Afzal, also of Glen Ellyn was next with 30 percent of the vote.

Trevor J. Orsinger, of Wheaton, trails with 24 percent of the vote.

District 4 includes all or parts of Addison, Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, Glen Ellyn, Glendale Heights, Lisle, Lombard, Wheaton and Winfield.
