Four steal handbags from Woodfield Lord & Taylor
Four male thieves in their late teens or early 20s stole an undetermined number of Louis Vuitton handbags and duffel bags from the Lord & Taylor store at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg just after 12:30 p.m. Friday.
Schaumburg police received the 911 call at 12:32 p.m. and arrived at the scene at 12:44 p.m., Sgt. Christy Lindhurst said.
According to witnesses, the four entered the store, grabbed the bags in a coordinated effort and ran out to a waiting vehicle.
Investigators are looking at surveillance footage; a more detailed description of the robbers, their getaway vehicle and the value of the stolen merchandise was not immediately available Friday.
