Images: Bears lose to the Vikings in the final game of the season
The Chicago Bears inability to score inside the twenty and inopportune penalties resulted in a 23-10 season-ending loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Minneapolis.
In the first half alone, the Bears were flagged seven times for 91 yards, and they had just 53 yards of total offense, including minus-1 yard on 6 rushing attempts.
The fate of head coach John Fox and his staff looks dismal after a 5-11 record with seven losses in nine games. During his tenure as head coach of the Bears, Fox is 14-34 and has finished in last place in the NFC North in each of his three seasons.
With two minutes left in the game, the Bears had a chance to score a TD with the ball inside the ten yard line but failed on eight plays managing a total of 1 yard and no points.
