Round Lake man seriously injured in Ingleside crash

A 33-year-old Round Lake man was seriously injured Thursday morning in a crash in Ingleside, authorities say.

The man crashed a 2016 Dodge Dart on Route 134 near West Venetian Drive shortly before 10:30 a.m., according to the Lake County sheriff's office. Deputies responding to the scene said the car had been significantly damaged, and the man was extricated from the vehicle.

He was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville with critical injuries.

According to the preliminary investigation, the man was driving east on Route 134 when he left the road and drove on to the south shoulder. He then crossed over into the westbound lane of traffic, drove off the north side of the road and rolled the vehicle, authorities said.

The crash remains under investigation.
