Warrenville man charged in 3 Naperville burglaries

A Warrenville man who was wanted in connection with three burglaries this spring in Naperville is now facing charges, authorities said Wednesday.

Andrew R. Longhi, 38, of the 700 block of Grove Lane, was taken into custody Tuesday in Aurora by a task force of the U.S. Marshals Service.

Naperville police Cmdr. Lou Cammiso said Longhi is accused of burglaries reported March 10 at a nail salon, a medical office and a vacant unit on the 1100 block of Sherman Avenue.

He said police reached out to the Marshals Service for help tracking down Longhi when they realized he also was wanted on warrants related to similar offenses in about eight other suburban communities. Cammiso said a Marshals Service task force regularly looks out for fugitives, which is why its members helped find Longhi.

Longhi now is facing felony charges of burglary and possession of burglary tools related to the Naperville burglaries, police said.
