Fire damages attic of Bloomingdale home

A small fire broke out Friday in the attic of a Bloomingdale home. Firefighters were called to the home, on the 200 block of Bunting Lane, at 4:58 p.m. by the residents, according to Battalion Chief Keith Boehne. The fire was contained to the attic and under control in about 15 minutes. Crews were on scene for about an hour. No injuries were reported, but the fire caused about $10,000 in damage. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Bloomingdale firefighters were assisted by Glenside Fire Protection District, Roselle, Addison and Carol Stream.
