<h3 class="breakHead">Athletic achievements: IHSA State Qualifiers: Angel Villegas (Wrestling) and Afroditi Baltsas (Girls Gymnastics); Chrisavgi Kotsifas - CSL North Player of the Year (Girls Volleyball).</h3>
<h3 class="breakHead">Extracurricular achievements: Chrisavgi Kotsifas was named a state finalist for the Junior-Senior 2 Person Contest for the math team; Oliver Talukder was named to the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America.</h3>

Bruce Rauner, Illinois State Superintendent of Education Carmen Ayala, former Chicago Bulls player Toni Kukoc, David Hiller (alum, former chief publisher of the Chicago Tribune and CEO of McCormick Foundation).</h3>
<h3 class="breakHead">Principal's reflections on the Class of 2020: As a collective whole, the Maine East Class of 2020 has consistently shown a strong commitment to provide community service to those less fortunate both locally and globally. Reflecting on each of them as individuals and as a whole, make no mistake - we already miss you - you have earned a special place in the hearts and minds of all of us on the staff based on the relationships you've built with us over these past four years. You are strong, smart, funny, and resilient - stay nice and always do your "personal best" in all of your future pursuits.
