Lincolnshire boy wins National Clay Court Tennis Championship
Jack Secord of Lincolnshire won the boys 12 and under National Clay Court Tennis Championship, winning seven matches in a row in straight sets.
Secord is currently ranked No. 1 in the United States in the boys 12 and under division and will compete in the National Hard Court Championship Aug. 8-15 in Mobile, Alabama.
Tennis is in Secord's blood. His mom, Linda Harvey Wild, is a former professional in singles and doubles on the WTA Tour, and had wins over some of the biggest names in women's tennis in the 1990s. His older brother and sister also play the sport.
Secord is coached by his grandfather, Steve Wild, who owns the LifeSport Athletic Clubs, including LifeSport Lincolnshire, where he does his training on a clay court.
Secord is the first from his family to win a gold ball in any junior event.
• Mount Prospect resident Krysti Scheib has joined the Schwabe Group, a member of the @properties real estate family. Scheib will work from Schwabe Group's office at 31 S. Evergreen St., in downtown Arlington Heights.
Scheib grew up on Chicago's Northwest Side. Her career in sales, particularly in the extended stay and hotel industries, led to stops in Washington, D.C., and Florida. She has made her mark in developing lasting relationships with her clients throughout her career across various industries from local to international.
"We are very fortunate to bring on an individual with Krysti's strong sales and customer service skills," said group leader David Schwabe.
"The real estate market is in the midst of a very hectic period, and Krysti has been able to jump in immediately and provide the knowledgeable and personal service associated with our agency."

Aptakisic-Tripp Community Consolidated School District 102 named Nicole Milewski assistant principal at Meridian School in Buffalo Grove, effective Aug. 1.
Previously, Milewski served as a Student Services coordinator for Community Consolidated School District 15, Palatine; building assistant principal for Queen Bee District 16, Glendale Heights; and as an elementary teacher for Community Unit District 300, Algonquin.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood education from DePaul University, and a master's degree in special education and a master's degree in educational leadership from Aurora University.
• Park Ridge-based Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), the premier association of financial professionals, named Joe Ferrazza as director of North America Channel Relations for its newly established Channel Relations team.
Ferrazza will lead the association's efforts to expand its North American footprint and equip U.S. and Canadian financial services professionals with the resources needed to protect their clients, grow their practice and propel both to next-level success.
Ferrazza brings a diverse history of experiences to MDRT, having held key roles in marketing, public relations and media with the Chicago Bears and Chicago Motor Speedway before transitioning to a 20-year career in the insurance profession.
Prior to joining MDRT, Ferrazza spent 10-plus years as an independent agent, helping clients protect and preserve their financial assets while creating generational wealth and legacies.
