Drive up and dance: Carpool Concerts come to Boomers Stadium

Make your car your concert venue as Duff Entertainment puts up a weekend of drive-in shows in Schaumburg.

Duff's Carpool Concert Series pulls into Boomers Stadium's west parking lot, 1999 Springinsguth Road, Schaumburg, for four nights of shows starting Thursday, July 9.

The schedule of 75-minute performances features Sixteen Candles at 6 and 9 p.m. Thursday, July 9; Boy Band Review at 6 p.m. Friday, July 10, followed by Trippin' Billies at 9 p.m.; Southern Accents at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 11, with Rod Tuffcurls & the Bench Press at 9 p.m.; and finishing up with American English at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 12.

Chances are these bands will make you want to get up and move, so organizers are following safety protocols and situating cars 12 feet apart, leaving space to dance and socialize in between.

Food and beverages will be for sale, so leave the grill at home.

In the name of safety, all music fans are required to have a mask and to wear it to visit the restrooms or concessions stands.

General admission is $30 for cars with two guests, $45 for three and $50 for four. VIP parking spots in the first four rows closest to the stage go for $60 for two guests, $90 for three and $100 for four; food service will also be provided in VIP.

Tickets must be purchased in advance at ticketweb.com (bit.ly/BoomersCarpoolConcerts). No ticket sales will be allowed at the stadium.
