$81.5 mil Lotto ticket sold in Streamwood

A lucky Illinois family waited three months. But on Wednesday, they received a belated Christmas gift - a multimillion-dollar lottery jackpot.

The Illinois Lottery presented the winner with a check for $81.5 million.

One family member bought the lucky ticket at a gas station in Streamwood back in mid-December but waited to come forward while seeking professional financial advice.

The winner did not reveal her identity, referring to herself only as the "JYS Family Limited Partnership."

The $81.5 million depressants half of the total Mega Millions jackpot from December's drawing. The other half went to another winner in New Jersey.
