Letter: Republican presidents have abandoned allies before
What do the Kurds and the Montagnard people have in common? Simple. They both have been thrown under the bus after having done the bidding of the U.S.
For those who don't know who the Montagnard peoples were, they populated the northern areas of South Vietnam for many years until Richard Nixon cast them aside like so much used refuse.
Not coincidentally both presidents were Republicans who disgraced their Office. Why would anyone trust a Republican president ever again? You could put you trust in them but you are quite literally betting your life.
