Terrific arts events in Mount Prospect

Having lived in Mount Prospect for over 50 years, I am always amazed by its people and its cultural events.

Last Monday evening we were attending the Mount Prospect Community Band Concert and my husband had difficulty getting out of his folding lawn chair.

A stranger to us saw the situation and immediately came over to help. She even carried our chairs to our car as I assisted my husband. This was greatly appreciated. As we talked on our way to our car, we found out that this wonderful woman was Ann Zimmerman, the cultural arts manager of the Mount Prospect Park District.

I told her how many years that we have been attending these wonderful concerts, a hidden gem for many Mount Prospect residents. If you want something to do on Monday nights, I highly recommend these wonderful band concerts at Lions Park during the months of June/July every summer.
