Lang would be asset to Elk Grove Township District 59 board

After serving for 15 years on the Harper College board of trustees, including several years as chairman, I know what it takes to be an effective school board member. School board members must be passionate about education, responsive to the needs of their communities, and have a desire to improve achievement for all students.

Courtney Lang possesses these qualities and is an excellent candidate for the District 59 school board. As I have gotten to know Courtney, I have found her to be a team player who brings out the best in people. She is willing to speak her mind, yet is respectful to others, even those who do not agree with her.

She is an accomplished lawyer, having practiced education law for Princeton University and she is a regular volunteer at Juliette Low Elementary and in the Arlington Heights community.

As a mother of two young children, Courtney realizes how important the first years of education are to a child's success. She also understands that quality education not only benefits the students, but it also positively impacts the whole community. For these reasons, she wants to enhance and expand opportunities for all students.

I know that she will be responsive to the needs of the entire community. I strongly encourage you to count on Courtney Lang to improve the future of District 59.
