Thanks for service

As a policeman, life is hard. A friend describes his dad's job as "middle-of-the-meal leave."

As a policeman, if a call comes, he must be ready to leave within minutes or even seconds no matter where he is, realizing how prepared they are to risk their lives for some rogue speeder or a robber breaking into cars and stealing valuables.

My friend also describes how much his dad's career as a policeman deprives him of family life. Dressed a policeman all day and unaware of when a call will come but always on the alert. Wake up at six and dress to risk your life and leave a worrying family behind. Coming home at 10 to do it all again, that can drive someone to the edge but not a policeman. They're strong for us.

So thank you all policemen for doing what you do.
