City must do something
This is not Chicago," said Mayor Rahm Emanuel on Aug. 6 after 66 shootings and 12 deaths the previous weekend. Really, Mr. Mayor? Really? In fact, this IS Chicago and (apparently) everyone but you knows about it. Our reputation, as they say, precedes us. When will you or anyone make a real effort to curb this violence? Doing something (anything?), as opposed to nothing, would be most welcome. This task was not thrust upon you. You chose to run for mayor and it is now your job to fix this problem. When can we expect you to start?
