Honest discussion of health care is needed

We need health care for all U.S. citizens just as it is in most industrialized nations around the world. The problem is it becomes socialized medicine void of the profit motive.

The benefactors of the current medical model do not want change. At the same time, Alzheimer's is becoming a major cost for Medicare and Medicaid. A 1,000 percent increase in 10 years. The cost to care for these patients will bankrupt Medicare faster than the exorbitant costs for health insurance because the rate of acquiring Alzheimer's is accelerating in the U.S. population.

Until medicine acknowledges that we need to fix our food system that delivers too little in good nutrients and too many toxins that create many of the diseases that are being treated today, we will not have a viable health care system for all. I learned from Congressman Roskam that $50 billion dollars are paid out annually from ACA which are fraudulent payments. That's the tip of the iceberg. Another $500 billion can be saved annually just by not over medicating, over treating and over testing.

Unfortunately, spinning the truth about medicine creates confusion in the public's mind about what truly needs to be fixed. It's time our congressmen address the root causes of our medical dilemma. An honest discussion void of medical spin is the solution.
