CLC women's soccer, men's golf highlight fall sports achievementsNov 29, 2019 7:18 AM - The College of Lake County's athletic department has a lot to be thankful for this year. Highlights of this fall's Lancer athletic accomplishments include the women's soccer team becoming regional champs and the men's golf team taking home the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference Championship hardware for the third straight year.

Among the cancellations announced Friday afternoon were the IHSA cheerleading sectional competitions, which have been moved to the same time Sunday in Grayslake and Rolling Meadows.

CLC offers part-time and full-time care from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at its centers located on the Grayslake campus and at the Lakeshore Campus in downtown Waukegan.

Honors for CLC athlete, coachJun 30, 2013 11:41 AM - Hannah Woods of Grayslake, who played basketball during the 2012-13 season for CLC, has won the prestigious Dick Durrant Academic Award. In addition, former CLC Men's and Women's Tennis Coach Richard Watson recently was inducted into the Skyway Conference Hall of Fame.

Behan's bomb lifts CarmelApr 30, 2013 11:36 PM - Stevenson's softball field had yielded just two over-the-fence home runs before this season. On Tuesday, Carmel Catholic's Jenny Behan become the third player to pull off the feat this season. "That's 3 in like in 2½ weeks," said Stevenson coach Larry Friedrichs, whose own Abby O'Connor on Saturday became the first player ever to hit two over-the-fence homers (both this year) at the Patriots' field. Behan's shot, which cleared the 255-feet sign in center field, helped lift Carmel to a 14-10 win in a nonconference slugfest that featured 26 hits.
