Zebra's climate goals validated by global initiative

LINCOLNSHIRE - Zebra Technologies Corp. said its emissions reduction targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative, joining more than 1,500 companies globally.

The initiative defines and promotes best practice in science-based target setting and independently assesses companies' targets.

Zebra's commitment includes a 50% reduction in certain types of greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 from its 2020 baseline. The company also commits to reduce certain emissions related to purchased goods and services by 15% within the same time frame.

The Science Based Targets initiative is a partnership between CDP, a nonprofit charity that runs the global environmental disclosure system; the United Nations Global Compact, the World Resources Institute and the World Wide Fund for Nature.
