Ground broken on Vernon Hills industrial building

VERNON HILLS - PREMIER Design + Build Group broke ground late last week on a new speculative industrial building in northwest suburban Vernon Hills for developer JRW Property Holdings LLC. This design/build assignment, known as 130 Lakeview Parkway, involves creating a 51,950-square-foot facility on a 5.67-acre site.

The 32-foot clear height building will accommodate one or two tenants. Constructed primarily of precast concrete wall panels, the facility will have eight dock positions, two drive-in doors and 86 parking spaces. It will feature two exterior entrances accented with glass and faux wood siding.

PREMIER is serving as general contractor on the project. Dale Carter is PREMIER's project manager on the assignment, working with project superintendent Zach Gadomski, and Joseph Ahrens, senior vice president, Midwest market leader. The target completion date for 130 Lakeview Parkway is November 2022.

"We are so pleased to be making this investment in the Village of Vernon Hills, which is a vibrant and business friendly town that is also a hub of industrial real estate in Lake County," explained Jim Woldenberg of JRW Property Holdings LLC. "Our state-of- the-art building will be a great addition to the business park and to Vernon Hills."

PREMIER is working with Cornerstone for architectural design services, Swift Structural for structural engineering, and Connelly Electric for electrical engineering. The broker for the property is Cushman & Wakefield.
