Focus is on weight loss at MediWellness in Roselle

A former gym space in Roselle is now home to a health and wellness center primarily focused on weight loss.

MediWellness Weight Loss & Rejuvenation, 474 Lake St., near Lake Street and Summerfield Drive, specializes in nutritional therapy and dietary guidance, according to founder Amandeep Kaur.

"My goal is to educate my patients on health, disease prevention, and positive outcome," Kaur says on her website.

The facility opened Sept. 2. Kaur said she used her experience as a nurse and a family nurse practitioner to focus on weight loss.

In addition to nutritional therapy, Kaur said she examines medical history and offers dietary supplements and vitamins. Patients track their progress with the Wellworld app.

"Patients' medical history, medication, and lifestyle will determine which diet will work for them," Kaur said.

She said her clientele is primarily women ages 30 to 55.

MediWellness also offers skin care treatments, such as Botox, skin tightening, and microneedling.

Kaur is currently the only employee at her facility.
