Chrissie Martell joins Lavelle Law's family law practice group

Lavelle Law has announced the hiring of attorney Chrissie Martell. Martell recently joined the Family Law practice group in the firm's Schaumburg office.

Martell spent the last 3½ years working as a solo practitioner, maintaining an active caseload in adoption, divorce, minor guardianship, parentage, real estate, civil litigation and estate planning matters. She earned her bachelor's degree from Indiana University and her law degree from DePaul University College of Law, where she also earned a Certificate in Child and Family Law.

"The legal team at Lavelle Law values hard work and integrity," said Martell. "I look forward to contributing to their highly-regarded family law group."

Outside of work, Martell serves on various committees through the Chicago Bar Association and Kane County Bar Association. She also completed numerous pro bono adoption cases in Cook County for Chicago Volunteer Legal Services.

"Chrissie had an impressive track record as a solo practitioner and we are pleased to have her join our team at Lavelle," said Managing Partner Ted McGinn. "Her breadth and depth of knowledge in family law will add great value to the clients we serve."

Lavelle Law's main office is in Schaumburg and the firm maintains an additional office in the Chicago Loop. The firm was founded in 1989 as a single attorney practice with an emphasis on tax law. Since that time, the firm has added more than a dozen practice groups including estate planning, immigration and residential real estate.
