Local private chef caters to athletes and celebrities

Mike Kubiesa, a lifelong Chicago-area resident and best-selling cookbook co-author, is the private chef for several current Chicago Bulls and Chicago Bears players, as well as Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari, making occasional special appearances on Very Cavallari starring Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler.

Chef Kubiesa keeps professional athletes fueled up with balanced, healthy meals helping them excel on the court, on the field, and in life. Fortune 100 CEOs have also hired Chef Kubiesa as their private chef to host dinner parties and corporate events.

Kristin Cavallari and former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler hired Chef Kubiesa in 2016 as their private chef. Chef Kubiesa regularly worked out of Kristin and Jay's home in Lake Forest and then in Nashville for about two weeks at a time, preparing enough meals for the family until his next visit. He began to make appearances on Very Cavallari in Season 2. To date, he has appeared on the highest-rated episode and will likely be featured again during Season 3 debuting January 9 (Sundays, E!).

Chef Kubiesa is a best-selling cookbook author collaborating with Kristin Cavallari on True Roots, a cookbook with more than 100 recipes free of gluten, dairy and refined sugar. True Roots contains recipes for a clean, toxic-free diet that is also fun, easy and enjoyable. Kubiesa and Cavallari are collaborating on another cookbook set to launch this summer. "The last couple years has been the most exciting of my food journey… I am humbled and very grateful," said Kubiesa. "Helping athletes by preparing fresh, healthy meals keeps me fired up. Knowing that I am their go-to for clean, nutritious, tasty meals is exciting and pushes me to provide my very best."

Chef Kubiesa has learned and worked under multiple Michelin-rated chefs, is the Chef/Owner of MGK Catering, and has cooked with celebrity chefs at the Chicago Food + Wine Festival.
