Lavelle Law Charities food drive gains 50% over last year

SCHAUMBURG - Lavelle Law Charities announced the overall donations from its annual Food Drive this year was up 50% over last year's total.

The food and other products collecting in the annual food drive was delivered to the Schaumburg Township Food Pantry.

Jackie Lindert, marketing and design director at Lavelle Law, said widespread community support is the key to the annual drive's success.

"This year we increased our number of donations sites to 27, making it very convenient for residents and workers in Schaumburg to participate," Lindert said.

Helping get the drive started was a significant contribution from sponsor Tony's Fresh Market. Lindert added Norman Mechanical and First American Title Insurance Company made unexpected but sizable donations.

Lindert said that the when the firm delivered the items collected to the Schaumburg Food Pantry, they exceeded the capacity of the site's main storage room.

"We are so pleased to lead this effort on behalf of everyone in Schaumburg to help battle hunger in our community, particularly as the holidays approach," said Lindert.
