Andigo Credit Union expanding to Carol Stream

Andigo Credit Union, headquartered in Schaumburg is opening its new branch at 426 Army Trail Road in Carol Stream next month.

The branch opens on Aug. 13. A ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration takes palace Aug. 16 from 8 to 10 a.m. And a grand opening event will take place Sept. 8.

Andigo, formerly Motorola Employees Credit Union, offers its financial products and services to the public and opened its first retail branch at 1310 N. Meacham Road, Schaumburg last summer.

The former Motorola Employees Credit Union opened in 1939 in Chicago and moved to the Schaumburg campus, along with the Motorola company, in the 1980s. As Motorola eventually downsized and split into two, the credit union stayed the course. When CEO Mike Murphy of Wheaton started at the credit union 21 years ago, it had about $220 million in assets. Today, Andigo has about $900 million in assets.
