Auditions set for Kane County Talent Contest June 25

The Kane County Fair and Dreams Dance Academy in St. Charles will present a new Kane County Talent Contest on Sunday, July 17. It will be held during the fair at 4 p.m. in the Prairie Events Center.

Talented children and young adults from Kane County are invited to participate in the new talent contest's preliminary first round auditions. It will be held on Saturday, June 25, at Dreams Dance Academy, 2460 W. Main St. in St. Charles.

"I am very pleased to bring the Kane County Talent Contest to the Kane County Fair as this is our own 10th anniversary," said Jenny O'Brien, owner, Dreams Dance Academy. "I always enjoyed previous talent contests at the Kane County Fair and would love to celebrate and showcase the talented young people from our communities."

The contest is open to vocalists, dancers, magicians, comedians, instrumentalists, ventriliquists, acrobats, jugglers, and more. There will be three age divisions: 9-11; 12-14; and 15 or older. Cash prizes will be awarded in each division.

During the Kane County Talent Contest at the Kane County Fair, the Dreams Dance Academy Dance Company will provide a special performance.

Local guest judges from the community will choose participants at both the auditions on June 25 and the final contest on July 17.
